Each year several classmates come to Manhattan early to see family, friends, or just look at the old neighborhood and see how Manhattan has changed.  For the 45th Reunion, the Reunion Committee thought it would offer a way for classmates to get together if they so desire.  Activities, and who's doing what when, will be posted at the Reunion Bulletin Board.

Updates will be posted to the Reunion Bulletin Board as they come in.  Also, they will be featured as a News Headline on the front page of the site.

The following is a partial list of activities classmates in which classmates have shown an interest along with a contact person.

Golf - Dave Fiser is coordinating golf.  If you are interested in a golf game and looking for others who want to play prior to the reunion, contact Dave.  For information on courses and green fees, click here.

Tennis - Dave Fiser is also coordinating tennis.  If you are looking for a tennis partner, contact Dave.

Fishing - John King is coordinating fishing.  There will be guides and boats available prior to the reunion. If you are interested in fishing, contact John.

Places To See - There are a lot of places in and around Manhattan you may want to visit prior to the reunion.  Pillsbury Crossing, Tuttle Creek, Beach Art Museum, Riley County Historical Society, the Konza Prairie, Ft. Riley, etc. Kay Fiser is coordinating this part of the reunion.

Photography - There are a lot of photo opportunities in and around Manhattan. Historic buildings and sites, wildlife, scenic vistas, etc.  Some of these will be available during the scheduled tour of Ft. Riley and Manhattan, however if you are looking for a particular shot, like a wild Rio Grande turkey, a limestone farm house, or prairie flowers, we will make every effort to provide the photo opportunity. Contact John King.

Birding - At the very least we will have a list of sites where different species of birds are most likely found.  Hopefully, we will have a member of the Northern Flint Hills Audubon Society give the birders in the class some assistance.  Contact John King.

Quilting - This activity is being coordinated by Ellie Mills Morton and Annette Maxwell Pacilio.

Abilene - Check the Reunion Bulletin Board for classmates interested in visiting Abilene and the Eisenhower Library and Museum, Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, and the historical sites in Abilene.

Council Grove - Check the Reunion Bulletin Board for classmates interested in visiting Council Grove's historical sites.

Ft. Riley - Check the Reunion Bulletin Board for classmates who want to visit Ft. Riley prior to the reunion.

If there is an activity in which you want to participate that isn't listed here, mention it, the time and date on the Reunion Bulletin Board. In all likelihood there will be other classmates interested in the same thing.  Send your message to: 2002BulletinBoard@mhs57.org
